Trimming around a switch, an outlet or a door frame is where veneered panels give themselves away — the blade goes through the skin and exposes whatever's underneath. Cut a Solid panel and you get more of the same material.

Solid means exactly that — each slat is milled from a single piece of real material, solid all the way through. There's no MDF, no composite core, and no veneer wrapped over something cheaper. Because the slat is solid, the grain is authentic on every face, not just the front.
Every panel in the series holds 8 solid slats, each 13mm thick, mounted on a 9mm black acoustic felt backing, two panels to a box. That construction is identical across all three finishes.
What changes is the material. Solid American Walnut is the darkest — deep chocolate with sweeping cathedral figure and real slat-to-slat variation. Solid American Oak is lighter and warmer, golden with open grain. Solid Bamboo is the most uniform of the three — consistent in tone and grain from slat to slat.

Installation is fast and intuitive — mount using drywall screws driven through the felt between the slats, or with construction adhesive. Panels overlap where they meet, so work across the wall in one direction and the join closes up rather than leaving an open seam.
Solid panels cut like timber, not like a laminate board. A fine-tooth blade on a handsaw, jigsaw, track saw or circular saw all work, and because the slat is solid the whole way through, a trimmed edge looks finished rather than exposing a pale core — so cuts around switches and outlets need no cover strip.
Once installed they need very little: occasional dusting, or a wipe with a barely damp cloth. Avoid solvent cleaners and abrasive pads. Indoor use only.

Which Solid finish should I choose?
All three are built identically — what changes is tone and character. Solid American Walnut is the darkest: deep chocolate with sweeping grain and real variation slat to slat. Solid American Oak is the lightest and warmest, golden with open grain. Solid Bamboo is the most uniform of the three, with very little variation panel to panel.
If you're between them, order the sample kit — it's the only way to judge tone in your own light.
How many boxes will I need for my wall?
It depends on the finish, because the two run to slightly different widths. One box covers 23.62 inches of wall width in Solid American Walnut or Oak, and 25.20 inches in Solid Bamboo. Each box holds two panels.
Measure your wall width in inches, divide by the figure for your finish, and round up. A 10-foot wall is 120 inches — six boxes in hardwood, five in bamboo.
What sizes do the panels come in?
Solid panels come in three heights: 94.5″, 106″ and 141.5″ — the last is our tallest panel, nearly twelve feet in a single piece, for high walls and vaulted ceilings with no horizontal seam partway up.
Are Solid panels fire-rated?
No — none of the Solid panels carry a fire rating. If fire performance is a requirement for your project, check with your contractor or your local building code before ordering.
Do these help with sound?
Every Solid panel is backed with 9mm acoustic felt, which softens echo and takes the hard edge off rooms with a lot of bare surfaces — much like a rug does on a hard floor. None of the three carries a formal acoustic rating.
To be clear about what none of them do: this is sound absorption, not soundproofing. Slat panels won't stop noise coming through a shared wall, and no wall covering will.
Can I see the material before I commit?
Yes — the Solid Slat Panel Sample Kit includes the finishes so you can hold the real material against your wall, in your own light, before ordering a full wall of it. You'll get credit toward your first full panel order.
Can I install these myself?
Yes. Solid panels fix to the wall with screws or construction adhesive, straight onto drywall or into studs, and cut like timber with a fine-tooth blade. They aren't peel-and-stick. Indoor use only.
